Appearance; Colorless, transparent liquid with a similar smell ether. Soluble in ethanol, ether, benzene and chloroform, and other organic solvents. Insoluble in water.

Usage:

1. 2-methyltetrahydrofuran is used for making chloroquine phosphate, primaquine, phosphate, etc.

2. It is also widely used as solvent, such as used in Grignard Reaction.

3. It is also used in automotive fuel additive
