In vitro experiments have shown that during interleukin production, "Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7 exhibits a significant dose-dependent reduction. The higher the dose of Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, the more interleukin is reduced—up to 40%." It is known that UV radiation can promote interleukin production. When cells are exposed to UV radiation and then treated with Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, interleukin levels decrease by 86%. Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7 is a key component of Matrixyl 3000 and is used in combination with Palmitoyl Oligopeptide.
