TRV-120027 is a β-arrestin-1 agonist peptide targeting the angiotensin II receptor type 1 (AT1R), consisting of an 8-amino acid sequence. It induces acute catecholamine secretion via coupling with the TRPC3 subfamily of cation channels, promoting the formation of a macromolecular complex on the plasma membrane—AT1R-β-arrestin-1-TRPC3-PLCγ. This peptide inhibits angiotensin II-mediated vasoconstriction and enhances myocardial contractility, showing potential for research in acute decompensated heart failure (ADHF).
