Narsoplimab (also known as OMS‑721) is a fully human monoclonal antibody that targets mannan‑binding lectin‑associated serine protease‑2 (MASP‑2), a key enzyme in the lectin pathway of the complement system. By binding to and inhibiting MASP‑2, narsoplimab blocks the lectin pathway‑initiated complement activation while leaving the classical and alternative pathways intact. This selective inhibition aims to reduce complement‑mediated endothelial injury and inflammation.
