Ontuxizumab (also known as MORAb‑004) is a humanized IgG1‑kappa monoclonal antibody that targets endosialin (also known as tumor endothelial marker 1, TEM‑1, or CD248), a cell‑surface glycoprotein expressed on pericytes, stromal fibroblasts, and some tumor cells in the tumor microenvironment. As an IgG1 isotype, it is designed to engage immune effector functions such as antibody‑dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC). Endosialin plays roles in tumor angiogenesis, stromal remodeling, and metastasis.
