Opucolimab is a recombinant human IgG1‑lambda monoclonal antibody that targets programmed death‑ligand 1 (PD‑L1, CD274), an immune checkpoint protein. As an IgG1 isotype, it is designed to engage immune effector functions such as antibody‑dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) and complement‑dependent cytotoxicity (CDC). By binding to PD‑L1 with high affinity, it blocks the interaction between PD‑L1 and its receptor PD‑1 on T cells, thereby reversing PD‑1/PD‑L1‑mediated immunosuppression and restoring anti‑tumor T‑cell activity. It is being developed as an immune checkpoint inhibitor for the treatment of advanced solid tumors.
