Lumrotatug (also known as CM-313 or CM313) is a human IgG1 kappa monoclonal antibody that specifically targets CD38, a lymphocyte differentiation antigen. As an IgG1 antibody, it is designed to potentially engage effector functions such as antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) and complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC). Its primary mechanism involves inhibiting the enzymatic activity of CD38—an ectoenzyme involved in nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) metabolism—thereby modulating B-cell function and survival. It is being developed as a potential therapeutic for autoimmune diseases where pathogenic B cells and plasma cells play a central role, such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and rheumatoid arthritis.
