CJ-15208 is a potent and selective κ-opioid receptor antagonist peptide, a cyclic tetrapeptide with significant opioid activity. In mouse tail-flick tests, CJ-15208 demonstrated strong analgesic effects mediated through multiple opioid receptors. The stereoisomers of CJ-15208 exhibit distinct opioid activity profiles, such as one isomer showing κ-opioid receptor antagonism while another exhibits δ-opioid receptor antagonism. None of CJ-15208's stereoisomers significantly affect respiration. The stereoisomers of CJ-15208 did not induce the development of tolerance, highlighting its potential for further development into safe opioid analgesics.
