Luveltamab tazevibulin is an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) developed by Sutro Biopharma. It consists of a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting folate receptor alpha (FRα), conjugated to the cytotoxic payload tazevibulin (a proprietary hemiasterlin derivative) via a cleavable linker. FRα is overexpressed on the surface of several solid tumors. Upon binding, the ADC is internalized, and the linker is cleaved to release tazevibulin, which disrupts microtubule dynamics and induces cell cycle arrest and apoptosis. It is being developed for the treatment of FRα-expressing advanced solid tumors, with a focus on ovarian cancer.
