Amilo-5MER is an orally active and selective serum amyloid A (SAA) inhibitor peptide, a small molecule composed of five amino acids. It specifically suppresses the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines IL-6 and IL-1β in SAA-activated cells. Amilo-5MER can reduce chronic inflammation and alleviate symptoms of diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis (RA), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and multiple sclerosis (MS). It holds promise for research in autoimmune and chronic inflammatory disorders.
