Odesivimab is one of three humanized IgG1‑kappa monoclonal antibodies (alongside Maftivimab and Atoltivimab) that together form a therapeutic cocktail targeting the envelope glycoprotein (GP1,2) of Zaire ebolavirus. Each antibody binds to a distinct, non‑overlapping epitope on the viral glycoprotein. This multi‑epitope approach enhances neutralization breadth and potency while reducing the risk of viral escape. As an IgG1 isotype, odesivimab can also engage immune effector functions such as antibody‑dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC). The triple‑antibody cocktail is designed to neutralize the virus and provide post‑exposure protection against Ebola virus disease (EVD).
