理化性质原药纯度为98.3%，熔点138～143℃。纯品为淡黄色至橘黄色晶体，熔点141～142℃,沸点265℃(分解)。蒸气压<0.0013mPa(25℃)。分配系数3.73(pH7)。Henry常数<1.73×10-⁴Pa·m³/mol。水中溶解度2.6mg/L(25℃)。其他溶剂中溶解度(25℃,g/L):丙酮>500,甲基纤维素500,乙腈>150,甲醇50,二氯甲烷>30,苯4,二甲苯2。在己烷中不溶解。在正常的储藏条件下能稳定存在，在pH5、7、9时不水解，在紫外灯照射下易分解，水中正常光解DT₅1.4h,pK,9.4,弱酸性。作用方式在出芽之前选择性地除草。通过种子发芽影响生长过程。可用于种子发芽之前控制许多一年生禾本科杂草和阔叶杂草。作用机理抑制微管系统
