DOTATATE is a modified sequence of octreotide, which adds DOTA modification to the N-terminus of octreotide and replaces the threitol at the C-terminus with a carboxyl group. DOTA - (Tyr3) - OCTRTEATE can be labeled with radioactive isotopes for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging and peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT).
