As a PAR-1 agonist peptide, it reversibly binds to PAR-1, mimicking the "bound ligand" provided by thrombin through substrate protein hydrolytic cleavage. Similar to thrombin, TFLLRNPNDK-NH2 also induces increased fluid and protein permeability.
