Alpha Lipoic Acid (Lipoic Acid) is a kind of antioxidant，the antioxidant effect is better than vitamin A, C, E, and can clear free radicals which accelerated aging and pathogenic. Lipoic Acid is found in almost all foods, but slightly more so in kidney, heart, liver, spinach, broccoli, and yeast extract. Naturally occurring Lipoic Acid is always covalently bound and not immediately available from dietary sources.
Alpha Lipoic Acid (Lipoic Acid) is an organosulfur compound, one enantiomer of which is an essential cofactor for many enzyme complexes. A chronic/carcinogenicity study in rats reported that racemic lipoic acid was found to be non-carcinogenic and did not show any evidence of target organ toxicity.
