These are organic compounds containing a cyclohexylamine moiety, which consist of a cyclohexane ring attached to an amine group. It is often used as biological buffer. It can bind to hemagglutinin (HA) emulating with sialic acid (SA) and receptor binding site (RBS)-targeting broadly neutralizing antibodies.

CHES (2-(N-cyclohexylamino)ethanesulphonic acid) is regarded as Good′s buffers for its self-buffering and biocompatible feature. It is used in protein stabilization and does not interact with metals.
