At -78°C, a 1.55 M n-butyllithium/n-hexane solution (20 mL) was added dropwise to a solution of diisopropylamine (4 mL) in THF (60 mL), and the mixture was stirred at the same temperature for 30 minutes. A mixture of 2,6-dichloropyridine (2.0 g) and THF (10 mL) was added dropwise to this solution, and the mixture was stirred at the same temperature for another 1 hour. A mixture of triisopropyl borate (6.8 mL) and THF (10 mL) was added dropwise, and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 20 hours. The reaction mixture was diluted with water, neutralized with hydrochloric acid, and extracted with ethyl acetate. The organic layer was washed with water, dried over magnesium sulfate, and concentrated under reduced pressure. 2,6-DICHLOROPYRIDINE-3-BORONIC ACID (2.6 g) was obtained.
