RAC-TOCOL Chemical Properties, Uses, Production
Description
(±)-Tocol is a synthetic vitamin E derivative. Unlike (±)-α-tocopherol , (±)-tocol does not suppress retinol-induced erythrocyte hemolysis or increase microviscosity of rat liver phosphatidylcholine (PC) liposomes. [Matreya, LLC. Catalog No. 1797]
Uses
Tocol can be useful in the study of synergistic interaction between tocol and phenolic extracts from different tree nut species against human cancer cell line.
