Uses
18:0-18:1 PA (1-stearoyl-2-oleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphate (sodium salt)) may be used as a phosphatidic acid (PA) standard to identify the corresponding radiolabeled PA on the thin-layer chromatography (TLC). It may be also used in vesicles for experimental validation in order to identify novel phospholipids capable of inhibiting cellular membrane transportation by (ATP)-binding cassette P-glycoprotein (P-gp).
Uses
1-Stearoyl-2-oleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphate (Sodium Salt) is used in the discovery of inhibitory effect of phosphatidylinositol derivatives on P-glycoprotein by virtual screening followed by in vitro cellular studies.

18:0-18:1 PA (1-stearoyl-2-oleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphate) is an unsaturated phosphatidic acid (PA) derivative. PA is present in the biomembranes. It is the simplest glycerophospholipid.

Phosphatidic acid (PA) is the precursor for other phospholipids and acts as a signaling molecule.
