Heptafluoro-1-methoxypropane Chemical Properties, Uses, Production
Description
HEPTAFLUORO-1-METHOXYPROPANE is a highly fluorinated methyl ether with the chemical formula CF₃CF₂CF₂OCH₃. It can be used as an alternative refrigerant, a heat transfer fluid, a working fluid in organic Rankine cycles, and a cleaning agent [1]. Furthermore, it can serve as a solvent component in flame-retardant battery electrolytes, such as FHM (in combination with fluorinated ethylene carbonate) and LHCE-HM (in combination with 1,2-dimethoxyethane and LiFSI), to enhance the Coulombic efficiency of lithium deposition and deintercalation, as well as the battery’s cycling performance [2–3].
Uses
Heptafluoro-1-methoxypropane is used in preparation method of Isolated Hydrofluoroether.
