Pale yellow ish mobile oil.Powerful and penetrating Onion-like odor.
Uses
2,3,4,5-Tetrathiahexane is a organosulfur compound whihc is used in the foodand essential oils for its garlic meaty odor.
Application
Dimethyl tetrasulfide has found very limited use in the reconstruction of certain essential oils, and in minute traces as a component of novel topnote compositions. It is also used to a limited degree in flavor compositions, ranging from Coffee imitation to Onion or imitation "vegetable" flavors.
