Uses
Molybdenum nitride (MoN) possesses excellent hardness and wear resistance, making it commonly used in the manufacture of cutting tools such as inserts, drills, and milling cutters. It offers longer service life and higher cutting efficiency. Combining MoN with metals (such as cobalt and nickel) or other ceramics can create cermet materials with excellent mechanical and thermal properties. These materials can be used in high-temperature structural components, electronic packaging, and other fields. MoN also exhibits excellent electrical and thermal conductivity, making it widely used in the manufacture of electronic devices. It can serve as a semiconductor material, an electronic packaging material, or a conductor in the fabrication of integrated circuits and electron tubes.
