Chemical Properties

Brown-red powder. Easily soluble in water, solubility in water is 30g/L (60℃), 48g/L (98℃), aqueous solution is golden yellow, add concentrated hydrochloric acid to orange-reddish brown, add concentrated sodium hydroxide is golden yellow. Slightly soluble in ethanol, lemon pale white. In concentrated sulfuric acid is orange-red brown, diluted to golden yellow. Slight change of color and light when met with copper and iron ions when dyeing, good stability of chlorine resistance, resistance to sculpture white powder, sulfide alkali reduction.

Uses

DIRECT YELLOW 29 can be used to dye cotton and viscose fibers, and can also be used for direct printing and color discharge, but it cannot be discharged white. When dyeing cotton and viscose fibers, it produces a reddish-yellow color that is slightly dull and has poor migration properties. It is usually blended with red and brown dyes to adjust the hue, but it is not suitable for blending with blue, green, or gray. It can be used to dye polyester and viscose blended fabrics in a high-temperature co-bath with disperse dyes.

Preparation

use sodium hypochlorite processing C.I. Direct Yellow 59 (C.I. 49000) solution.

Properties and Applications

red light yellow. Palm red powder. Soluble in water for golden brown, solubility of 30 g/L (60 ℃), 48 g/L (98 ℃), soluble in ethanol is shallow lemon yellow. The strong sulfuric acid for orange red brown, diluted into gold. The dye solution with strong hydrochloric acid into orange red brown; Add thick sodium hydroxide solution into a golden brown. In dyeing copper and iron ion colored light slight change. Good resistance to chlorine stability,On Rongalite and sodium sulfide reduction-resistant. Used for cotton and viscose fiber dyeing and can be directly printing and white, can and dispersal dyes with bath of high temperature on polyester/cotton blended fabric dyeing, used for leather and paper shading.
