Chemical Properties
Colorless liquid. B.P. 160℃. Almost insoluble in water, soluble in alcohol and oils.
Uses
Crotonyl isothiocyanate is comparatively toxic, irritant and a pronounced Iachrymator. Its odor and flavor suggests a use similar to that of common (Allyl-)Mustard oil, and the material finds some use as a modifier of imitation Radish and Garlic flavors.
