Synthesis
Synthesis of 135139-00-3
Using phosphorus tribromide as a starting material, bis(3,5-dimethylphenyl)phosphine oxide was reacted with bis(3,5-dimethylphenyl)phosphine to obtain bis(3,5-dimethylphenyl)phosphine in 92% yield. Then, coupling was performed under Ni(dppe)Cl₂ as a catalyst and zinc powder as a reducing agent to yield (S)-(-)-2,2'-Bis[di(3,5-xylyl)phosphino]-1,1'-binaphthyl.
