Yellow solid. Insoluble in water; slightly soluble in acetone, kerosene, and alcohol.
Uses
Thioquinox is a fungicide/insecticide used in pesticide formulations. Toxic to various species of mites. A member of the quinoxoline class of pesticides.

Acaricide, fungicide.
Production Methods
The production route for thioquinox is not available in open literature. However, it can be inferred from its structure. Commercial production would probably have followed the standard logic for quinoxaline based heterocycles: construction of the quinoxaline core, introduction of dithiol units, and final cyclisation to form the trithiocarbonate ring system. After ring closure, the crude product would be purified by crystallisation, filtration, and drying to yield technical grade thioquinox for formulation.
