Difenzoquat Chemical Properties, Uses, Production
Description
Difenzoquat is a post-emergence herbicide. Little data is available regarding its environmental fate. It has a low avian toxicity but appears to be more toxic to aquatic species. it is moderately toxic to mammals if ingested and is thought to be an eye irritant.
Uses
Difenzoquat bis-Trideuteromethyl Methyl-D3 Perchlorate Salt is the deuterized labeled form of Difenzoquat (D445418), which is a cationic herbicide.
Production Methods
Difenzoquat is manufactured by one U.S. company and methods of synthesis are confidential. The product is available as 2 lb cation per gallon in the United States and Canada, and internationally at 200–300 g cation per liter and as solid formulations at 63–65% (w/w) cation.
