Appearance

Potassium bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide is a white powder.  

Uses

In recent years, the use of potassium bisfluorosulfonimide in molten salt batteries, hard coat films, conductive films, and antistatic adhesives has attracted attention.

Synthesis

1. Preparation of bis(chlorosulfonyl)imide:

1000mL reaction flask, add 478.6g of chlorosulfonic acid, NiCl2 2.1g, turn on the stirring, raise the temperature to 105~115 , dropwise addition of chlorosulfonyl isocyanate 679.2g. dropwise addition is completed, gradually raised to 130~140 , continue to stir the reaction for 20h. distillate under reduced pressure and collect the stabilized fraction 738g, yield 83.9%. The product is white solid, melting point is about 36 .

2. Preparation of bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide potassium salt:

500mL reaction bottle, add ethyl acetate 220g, K2CO3 69.1g, temperature control to 20 ~ 30 , stirring dropwise addition of 90.6g HFSI (Example 2 preparation). Continue 20 ~ 30 stirring reaction 4 hours, filtration, filtrate decompression desolvation and concentration, concentration to the bottle solid content of more than 50%, to the concentrate to add 450g of dichloromethane, after filtration, drying to obtain the product 105.1 g, yield 95.9%, the product is a white solid, melting point 98-100 .
