Hexadecyl 2-ethylhexanoate Chemical Properties,Uses,Production
Preparation
Take 200g of isooctanoic acid, 100g of cetyl alcohol, 0.3g of sulfuric acid, and 0.2g of sulfurous acid, add them to a three-necked flask, connect a condenser, heat in an oil bath until the temperature reaches 120℃, then adjust the vacuum to -0.010 MPa and maintain the reaction temperature for 1 hour. Adjust the temperature to 160℃, and after deacidification at a vacuum of -0.01 MPa, cool to 50℃, add sodium hydroxide to neutralize, and ensure the amount is 0.05-2% of the total weight of isooctanoic acid and cetyl alcohol. Adjust the temperature to 10℃, add 300g and 50g of water respectively for washing twice, and then adjust the temperature to 60℃ and perform vacuum dehydration at a vacuum of -0.01 MPa to obtain HEXADECYL 2-ETHYLHEXANOATE product.
