Application
Rhodium(ii) heptafluorobutyrate dimer is a catalyst that can be used for carbene reactions of diazo compounds, hydrosilylation of alkenes and alkynes, and silyl carbonylation of alkynes.
Preparation
Rhodium(ii) heptafluorobutyrate dimer is prepared from Dirhodium(II) Tetraacetate by ligand displacement in refluxing perfluorobutyric acid containing perfluorobutyric anhydride.
