17(R)-HDHA (17(R)-HDoHE) is a pro-resolving mediator (SPM). 17(R)-HDHA enhances the differentiation of B cells toward the CD27(+)CD38(+) antibody-secreting cell phenotype, thereby strongly increasing IgM and IgG production by activated B cells. 17(R)-HDHA does not affect cell proliferation and is non-toxic to cells[1].

It has a role as a human xenobiotic metabolite and a mouse metabolite. It is a conjugate acid of a 17(R)-HDoHE(1-). It is an enantiomer of a 17(S)-HDoHE.
