Azido-PEG5-CH2CO2t-butyl ester Chemical Properties, Uses, Production
Description
Azido-PEG5-CH2CO2-t-Bu consist of an azide group(N3) and a t-butyl ester.The azide group can react with alkyne, BCN, DBCO via Click Chemistry. The t-butyl protected carboxyl group can be deprotected under acidic conditions. PEG spacer increases solubility in aqueous media.
Uses
Azido-PEG5-Boc is a PEG-based PROTAC linker that can be used in the synthesis of PROTACs[1]. Azido-PEG5-Boc is a click chemistry reagent, it contains an Azide group and can undergo copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition reaction (CuAAc) with molecules containing Alkyne groups. It can also undergo strain-promoted alkyne-azide cycloaddition (SPAAC) reactions with molecules containing DBCO or BCN groups.
