SIS17 Chemical Properties, Uses, Production
Uses
SIS17 is a mammalian histone deacetylase 11 (HDAC 11) inhibitor with an IC50 value of 0.83 μM. SIS17 inhibits the demyristoylation of serine hydroxymethyltransferase 2, a substrate of HDAC 11, but does not inhibit other HDACs[1].
Biological Activity
SIS17 is a potent and selective HDAC11 inhibitor (IC50 = 830 nM; IC50 >100 μM against HDAC1/4/8 or SIRT1/2/3/6) th at effectively upregulates HDAC11 substrate, serine hydroxymethyl transferase 2 (SHMT2), fatty acylation level in MCF7 cells (12.5 μM).
