Uses	Mandestrobin is a novel fungicide having a methoxyacetamid structure. Mandestrobin also shows safer profiles for human health and the environment.
Production Methods	Mandestrobin is produced commercially through a strobilurin-type synthetic route that assembles its methoxyacrylate fungicide framework. Industrial synthesis begins with preparation of a substituted benzyl alcohol intermediate, which is functionalised via etherification to introduce the oxymethyl linkage. In parallel, a methoxyiminoacetic acid derivative is synthesised to provide the characteristic methoxyacrylate moiety. These fragments are then coupled under controlled esterification conditions to yield the final mandestrobin structure.
