Uses(-)-Chromanol 293B is a potent and selective inhibitor of the slow component of delayed rectifier K+ current (IKs). (-)-Chromanol 293B can be used for the research of antiarrhythmic[1].
DefinitionChEBI: Chromanol 293B is a 1-benzopyran.
Biological ActivityEnantiomer that selectively inhibits the slow component of delayed rectifier K + current (I Ks ). Block is use-dependent and 7-fold more potent than the (+)-(3S,4R) enantiomer (IC 50 values are 1.36 and 9.6 μ M respectively). Has negligible inhibitory action at hERG channels (IC 50 > 30 μ M).
