| Uses | (4-Methoxybenzyl)hydrazine Dihydrochloride is used in preparation of Heterocyclic derivatives useful as SHP2 inhibitors. | | Synthesis | To a dialkane solution of 4N hydrochloric acid (2000 mL, 8.00 molHCl) was slowly added tert-butyl 2-(4-methoxybenzyl)hydrazinecarboxylate (324 g, 1.09 mol) dissolved in a minimal amount of dialkane over a period of 1 hour. A precipitate was gradually formed. The solution was stirred at 205C for 16 hours. The solid was collected by filtration. The solids were homogenized in heptane (2000 mL) and the solids were separated by filtration. The solids were dried by applying nitrogen pressure to give the title compound 4-methoxybenzylhydrazine dihydrochloride (242.3 g, 1.08 mol, 98%). |
