Soluble in water for orange, slightly soluble in ethanol, acetone and Cellosolve, insoluble in other organic solvent. In concentrated sulfuric acid for yellow red, dilution have orange precipitation; In concentrated nitric acid for orange solution; In 10% sodium hydroxide solution for orange. Its aqueous solution to join 10% sulfuric acid color turn yellow. Used for wool and silk dyeing, also can be used for leather dyes and used as a pigment.
