1-Stearoyl-2-15(S)-HpETE-sn-glycero-3-PC Usage And Synthesis
Description1-Stearoyl-2-15(S)-HpETE-sn-glycero-3-PC is a phospholipid that contains stearic acid at the sn-1 position and 15(S)-HpETE at the sn-2 position. It is produced via oxidation of 1-stearoyl-2-arachidonoyl-sn-glycero-3-PC (SAPC; ) by 15-lipoxygenase (15-LO).1 1-Stearoyl-2-15(S)-HpETE-sn-glycero-3-PC is toxic to human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) when used at a concentration of 100 μM.2
Uses1-Stearoyl-2-15(S)-HpETE-sn-glycero-3-PC (15(S)-HpETE-SAPC) is a compound studied for the cytotoxicity of phosphatidylcholine hydroperoxides. Its cytotoxicity is exerted through the decomposition of hydroperoxides to produce toxic compounds.
