| Production Methods | No proprietary synthesis route for nickel bis(dimethyldithiocarbamate) is available in open literature. However, its production can be inferred from its chemical structure. Its manufacture would follow the standard two step process used for all dimethyldithiocarbamate fungicides: first, dimethyldithiocarbamate salt is generated by reacting dimethylamine with carbon disulfide under alkaline conditions; second, this ligand solution is treated with a soluble nickel(II) salt, typically nickel sulphate or nickel chloride, which causes immediate precipitation of the characteristic light green nickel–dithiocarbamate complex.
