| Description | Bachmedesh is an unclassified plant growth stimulator used to increase crop yields. No information is available regarding its environmental fate and behaviour nor its ecotoxicology. Whilst information is very scant there are concerns regarding its effect on reproduction. | | Production Methods | Information regarding the commercial production of bachmedesh in open literature is very limited. However, based on its structure and its chemical identity, the production process can be inferred. Commercial production would probably follow the standard route for amine containing phenylalkanoate esters: first preparing the 4 chlorophenyl substituted acid (or its acid chloride), then esterifying it with 2 (diethylamino)ethanol under acidic or catalytic conditions, and finally converting the resulting tertiary amine ester into its hydrochloride salt.
