Production MethodsThe commercial production process of iptriazopyrid is not available in open literature. However, based on its on its structural class (a triazinone like heterocycle fused to a substituted pyridyl moiety), production would probably involve: constructing the pyridyl precursor bearing the required halogen or electron withdrawing pattern; preparing the triazinone or triazine amide intermediate through condensation of appropriate urea/guanidine derivatives; and then coupling the pyridyl and triazine fragments via nucleophilic substitution or amide formation, followed by ring closure to generate the final heterocycle. Purification of the technical material and conversion to the desired salt or crystalline form would complete the process.
