| | 2-Chloro-4-methylquinazoline Usage And Synthesis |
| Synthesis | 2-Chloro-4-methylquinazoline was prepared by reacting 4-methylquinazolin-2(3H)-one as starting material in the presence of phosphorus trichloride and hydrochloric acid, referring to the method of Example 27c. The reaction yield was 67% of the theoretical value, and the product was detected by thin layer chromatography (silica gel plate, unfolding agent was petroleum ether/ethyl acetate=7:3) with an Rf value of 0.81. | | References | [1] Patent: US6200976, 2001, B1 [2] Chemical Communications, 2014, vol. 50, # 33, p. 4302 - 4304 [3] Patent: WO2005/123714, 2005, A1.
