Description(±)-MDA-d3 (hydrochloride) (exempt preparation) (Item No. 22875) is an analytical reference standard intended for use as an internal standard for the quantification of (±)-MDA (Item Nos. ISO60189 | 11554) by GC- or LC-MS. (±)-MDA is categorized as an amphetamine.1,2 It induces the head-twitch response (HTR) in mice, indicating hallucinogenic potential.2 (±)-MDA has been found in seized ecstasy tablets.3 (±)-MDA-d3 is regulated as a Schedule I compound in the United States. (±)-MDA-d3 (hydrochloride) (exempt preparation) (Item No. 22875) is provided as a DEA exempt preparation.
