| Uses | Resolvin D1 Methyl Ester is the methyl ester form of Resolvin D1 (R144645). Resolvin D1 is used to protect against hepatic injury and heart failure, specifically in rats. Also used as a means to attenuate the inflammatory reaction. | | in vivo | Treating diabetic mice with menhaden oil in the diet or exogenously with resolvins D1 and E1 or the methyl esters of resolvins D1 (1 ng/g ; i.p.; daily) and D2 reduced triglyceride levels to control values or lower in type 2 diabetes C57BL/6J mice[1].
Treating diabetic mice with the methyl esters of resolvins D1 or D2 significantly improved motor nerve conduction velocity compared to non-treated diabetic mice but both motor and sensory nerve conduction velocities in these treated mice remained significantly impaired compared to control mice[1].
