| Synthesis | GENERAL METHOD: 4-Fluoronitrobenzene (2 g, 14.2 mmol) and anhydrous K2CO3 (2.2 g, 15.6 mmol) were dissolved in DMSO (5 mL) and stirred at room temperature for 10 minutes. N-ethylpiperazine (14.2 mmol) was slowly added dropwise and the reaction mixture continued to be stirred at room temperature for 10 hours.
