| Uses | Ammonium urate crystals can be dissolved by acid to form uric acid crystals. Ammonium urate is commonly found in putrefactive urine and is a relatively common component of stones; currently, ammonium urate stones account for approximately 0.2% of all kidney stones. The formation of ammonium urate stones is mainly related to polyuric acid and polyammonium in urine, urinary tract infections, urinary phosphate deficiency, long-term consumption of purine-rich foods, and obesity, but has no clinical significance. |
