| | 5-Methyl-1H-tetrazole Usage And Synthesis |
| Uses | 5-Methyl Tetrazole is used in the preparation of novel antifungal agents based derived from N-iodopropargylazoles and N-triiodoallylazoles. 5-Methyl Tetrazole also in the preparation of novel quinoline derivatives against mycobacterium tuberculosis. | | Description | 5-methyl-1H-tetrazole (MTZ) is a tetrazolium derivative. MTZ can be used as a starting material for the synthesis of novel energetic salts (including cationic and anionic salts, such as perchlorate, nitrate, guanidine salt, etc.)[1]. It can also form eutectic compounds with 5-Aminotetrazole to improve the combustion performance of pyrotechnic fuels and enhance their moisture resistance[2]. | | Uses | 5-Methyl-1H-tetrazole is used in the preparation of novel antifungal agents based derived from N-iodopropargylazoles and N-triiodoallylazoles. 5-Methyl Tetrazole also in the preparation of novel quinoline derivatives against mycobacterium tuberculosis. | | Safety | 5-methyl-1H-tetrazole is a flammable solid. This substance is irritating to humans. Contact may cause skin irritation and severe eye irritation. Inhalation may cause respiratory tract irritation. | | References | [1] Kazuki Inoue. (2024).
