Description	4-Chloro-2-iodopyridine is a heterocyclic organic compound. It consists of a pyridine ring with a chlorine atom at the 4-position and an iodine atom at the 2-position.
Uses	4-Chloro-2-iodopyridine is used in the synthetic preparation of disubstituted chloropyridine derivatives by regioselective lithiathion of chloropyridines with butyllithium and dimethylaminoehanol which is then followed by substitution with electrophiles.
