UsesTrans-4-(methylamino)cyclohexanol hydrochloride can be used as a pharmaceutical synthesis intermediate, such as in the preparation of compounds for the formulation of Rho-kinase inhibitors. It can be used to treat diseases related to myosin light chain phosphatase phosphorylation inhibition.
Applicationtrans-4-(methylamino)cyclohexanol hydrochloride can be used as a pharmaceutical synthesis intermediate. It can be prepared in one step from 2,2,2-trifluoro-N-(4-hydroxy-cyclohexyl)-N-methyl-acetamide.
Synthesistrans-4-(Methylamino)cyclohexanol hydrochloride was prepared as follows: 2 g of 2,2,2-trifluoro-N-(4-hydroxy-cyclohexyl)-N-methyl-acetamide (149) was suspended in 10 ml of 1NHCl and heated in a microwave oven at 150° until complete conversion. The resulting solution was lyophilized, and the residue was placed in water and lyophilized again for a total of two times to give 1.45 g of trans-4-(methylamino)cyclohexanol hydrochloride (150). rt = 0.13 min (Method C). Detected mass: 130.3 (M+H+).
