| | Methyl maslinate Usage And Synthesis |
| Uses | Methyl maslinate is a β-adrenergic antagonist. Methyl maslinate is a potent cardiotonic and antidysrhythmic agent. Methyl maslinate has the potential for hypertension research[1]. | | in vivo | Methyl maslinate (MM) (20-60 mg/kg; i.p.) shows significant, dose-dependent vasodepressor effect and sinus bradycardia, lasting more than 60 minutes with a maximum at 20 minutes, and shows potent hymodynamic effect[1].
Methyl maslinate (40 mg/kg) shows antidysrhythmic activity on ischemia-reperfusion dysrhythmia[1]. | Animal Model: | Wistar male rats (300-320 g)[1] | | Dosage: | 20-60 mg/kg | | Administration: | Intraperitoneal injection; once | | Result: | Showed significant, dose-response vasodepressor effect and sinus bradicardia.
Antagonized β-Adrenergic.
Showed antidysrhythmic activity.
